An old-fashioned, favorite poem recited by so many "young'uns" and featured in a book about language and dialects in 1919. Grandmothers from ages ago recited this poem to their grandchildren, and mothers to their children. It could just as well be named "Adventures at Grandma's House."
The poem is in the public domain. But the illustrations are copyrighted (c) 2019 – one hundred years later – in the early 1900's style painted by Gina Burgess. The dress and room furnishings are authentic early 1900s.
